There was a very good turn out of boy scouts, Scoutmaster R. E. Wright (4th Lancaster) being in command. Other Troops represented were the 1st Lancaster (Scoutmaster J. Erskine); 2nd Lancaster (Scoutmaster R. Price); 3rd Lancaster; 4th Lancaster    (Assistant Scoutmaster H. Marks); and Halton (Scoutmaster A. Angus). They gave a very interesting display of ambulance work, signalling (Morse and semaphore), stave drill, stretcher drill, &c., concluding with a " big rally "- an exhibition on a small scale of what will be carried out in connection with the King's rally. The exhibition and demeanour of the scouts generally, both at the church parade and at the gala, proved the value of the movement, the keenness of the boys, and the cheerful obedience they showed.
