A week’s fun out camping

Scouts and Cubs from Caton teamed up for their first joint camp and had a week’s fun and scouting at Catholes farm Sedbergh last week.

There were nine Scouts and three of the 19 Cubs “graduated” during the camp to be invested into the Scouts.

They were Jonathan Cruickshank, John Dawson and David Allen. Philip Roddam was invested into the Cubs.

All the Cubs attempted Campers and Explorers badges, Scouts had a hill hike and built earth ovens to bake bread and the whole group had an outing to Lowther Park.
