St. George's Day, 23 April 2009
The annual District St. George's Day commemoration took place this year at the Chaplaincy Centre, University of Lancaster.
In the presence of the County Commissioner, a crowded hall heard about the legend of St. George and the underlying meaning of his slaying the dragon.
Promises were renewed by all sections and a number of awards were presented.
