15 July District Chairman Resigns
I am sorry to have to announce that Gary Rycroft has resigned as from last week. He was re-elected on Tuesday at the AGM but due to discussions held on Wednesday he has resigned from that date.
We
have held an emergency executive meeting and appointed Frank Rice as
Chairman. He will act in this post for the present time but
has set
up
a search party for us to find a permanent new chair as he does not
want
to do it full time with his other pressing duties in Scouting.
I shall be away for 10 days from Thursday 17th July - 27th July.
If you have any queries or problems then Debbie Smith 01524/32019,
or
David Wilkinson 35556, are available to help. Frank is
also there
if
you need him, or of course any other member of the District Team or
Executive. We will get over this, and
I am sorry it has come at
the end of our successful year, just as we are breaking up for the
holidays.
Copies of the District report have been sent to all groups in one
way
or another - I have more to hand out if you want them.
The draft accounts were mistakenly handed out at the AGM - we have fully audited
accounts
and we will get copies of them to you as soon as possible.
I do wish you all a good holiday and I particularly wish all the
16th
Morecambe scouts good journey to Kandersteg and the Lonsdale Explorers
and 5th Lancaster bon voyage
as
they go to Canada. Good travelling to you all .
More messages will come out as soon as I know more.
Pat Griffin, D.C.
