National Tree Week Campaign
5th Lancaster took part in the tree planting exercise on Saturday (5 Dec 2009) at the Wallings Group Garden Centre 'Inspirations' in Cockerham on invitation by the Forton Cubs.
The National Tree Week campaign was aiming to set a new Guinness World Record to plant the most trees in one hour world wide. You will find full information at www.bbc.co.uk/breathingplaces/treeoclock/tree_giveaways/
The aim is to help local wildlife and restore local biodiversity through tree planting. This campaign is supported by The Tree Council, International Tree Foundation and the Woodland Trust.
We planted 68 trees. Was great fun.
The photo's show the whole party taking part. 5th Lancaster Cubs and Forton Cubs, plus parents and helpers.
