Weekend at Great Tower
19 - 21 October 2007
Seventy-two Beavers from Lonsdale District had an adventurous, exciting weekend at Great Tower with super weather being an added bonus.
The Beavers spent the weekend climbing, canoeing, pond dipping, mini beast hunting as well as crafts, night walks and campfires. The Beavers have gained the new Adventure Badge as well as having great fun. Many thanks to: Velma Keating who stepped in at short notice as cook. Tim Manley and Jewsons who provided the materials for the wooded boats (see photos). The instructors and wardens at Great Tower.
The parents and leaders who worked as a super team. And especially thanks to Debbie Smith who organised the weekend.
