Lonsdale District Scouts

Cub Scouts and their families and Leaders from all over Lonsdale gathered at Caton Church on Friday 30th September 2011 to receive their Chief Scout’s Silver Awards from Assistant District Commissioner (Cubs) Mrs Pat Armstrong. Lonsdale District Commissioner Mrs Pat Griffin was also in attendance at this special event.
This award is the highest that a Cub can achieve and requires a commitment to undertake tasks and activities both as part of a Cub Pack and at home.

Lonsdale District Scouts were extremely proud to celebrate the award of three Silver Acorns and 2 Bars to the Silver Acorn in this year’s St George’s Day Awards!
District Chairman Terry Bond MBE, District Commissioner Pat Griffin and Jim Holland, Assistant Group Scout Leader at 16th Lancaster (St Paul’s), were all awarded the Silver Acorn. “awarded after a period of no less than 20 years of specially distinguished service while holding an adult appointment.”
