We’re looking for a SASU manager, to co-ordinate the work of our active support units. If you are interested in giving this a go please contact the District Commissioner Craig Dewar at dc@lonsdalescouts.org.uk

Scout Active Support is made up of ex Scouts of all ages, existing and ex Leaders, Scouters, Administrators and interested parties who are interested in continuing their Scouting, their service and having Scouting fun. They meet together for social events, for service, activities, supporting Group and District events as well as social events and fun.

Scout Active Support can be age related or all-age in its set up depending on its raison d’etre.

The District Scout Active Support Unit meets at 8pm on the first Wednesday of the month at District Headquarters,
Moor Street, Off Mary Street, Lancaster

All ages welcome

Scout Active Support –
Supports Scouting in activities, such as:-

organising events helping in the shop, helping sell badges, acting as Nights Away Advisers, supporting the activities of the District. supporting Groups as required, acting as contacts for the District and at events, assisting training in the District, providing a skills base for the District.

This is tempered with such things as:-
Trips to places of interest, treasure hunts, interesting and informative walks, Barbecues, meals out, quiz evenings, bowling, slide shows on things interesting and informative, Or just simple Social Activities.
