CAMP GROUND (Waddecar)

Lancashire Evening Post 01 February 1954:
EIGHTEEN acres of woodland and country in the Lower Brock Valley have been presented for Scout, camping and the training of officers by Mr. and Mrs. A. Waddecar, of Goosnargh.
Lord Derby announced this at the North West Lancashire County Scout Council meeting in Preston on Saturday when a 6,270 membership was reported.
Mr. E. Bowtell (Blackpool), was presented with a warrant as Assistant County Commissioner and Mr. F. Wilson (Blackpool), Mr. M. Sharpe, (Lancaster), and Mr. E. Chadwick (N. Wyre) received warrants as Commissioners.
Wood badge awards. Went to Mr. R. Lewis, (5th Preston), Miss V. Hoyle, (9th Preston) and Mrs. Hunter, (33rd Preston).
