Halton Camp

Lancaster Guardian 07 July 1939:

The Cub Pack of the 21st Lancaster (Bowerham C.C.), spent a pleasant weekend in camp at Halton and are grateful to Messrs. Nelson and Hogarth who conveyed them to and from camp in cars. The Pack attended service at Halton Congregational Church on the Sunday morning. Stanley Jones was invested as a member of the pack on Monday last.

We are pleased to record the formation of a new troop to whom we extend a welcome and wish them every success. This is the 2nd. Dolphinholme formed in connection with the Franciscan College, Over Wyresdale, under the leadership of Father Joseph. Red and yellow halves will be their scarf colour.

Commencing Tuesday next, July 11th the swimming session will be transferred to the new baths where Scouts and Cubs will swim together between 7 and 8 pm., and not at separate times as hitherto. The charge is now three pence per head.
