Scouts as Firemen

Morecambe Guardian 10 December 1927:-
Five members of the 3rd St. Mary’s (Morecambe) Troop of Boy Scouts, passed the test for the proficiency badge for firemen, at the Fire Station on Wednesday night. Deputy Fire Supt., Lancaster examined the boys. The fact that they had passed reflects great credit on Fire Supt. James Bland, who trained them. The boys were in charge of Scoutmaster Mr. M. Brown.
