David ‘Dave’ Gamble – “Gone Home”

Dave Gamble – 2nd from right awarding Chief Scout’s Challenge certificates at 16th Morecambe in 1983.We have learned, sadly, from Tim Leader who is a member of Cumbria Scouts informing us of some sorrowful news that David Gamble died last night (26th October). He was in his mid 80s. David who lived in Grange from around 2001/2 was very proud of his time as ACC (Scouts) for West Lancs. That would probably be around 1990 as I believe that it was Bob Sutton as CC who appointed him.

He believed that David was connected with the Group in Forton.

“It may well be that there are still people connected to West Lancs who may have known David. Maybe you could pass the sad news to the County Secretary and others who may know of people who would remember David.”
